Underworld Don Abu Salem & Actress Monika Bedi’s Incomplete Love Story Is No Less Than A Bollywood Movie

Monica Bedi also expressed that he was very possessive about her and really respected her a lot. It wasn’t a time-pass kind of relationship between them. She always promised her to change his ways, but his connection with crime was something that always came between them.

It was after when Abu Salem and Monica Bedi were arrested in Portugal for forging entry into the country with fake passports, their relationship started dwindling. Salem sent her a notice asking her to accept him as a husband or divorce him.

For Monica, Abu used his power to get her roles in Bollywood films and she was featured in some of the Bollywood movies like Jodi No 1 which had stars like Sanjay Dutt, Govinda and Twinkle Khanna. In an interview to Indian Express, Monica clarified that she was not married to Abu Salem it was just a love. But Abu wanted to marry her and they were living in different countries to hide. The relation ended on July 4, 2007, after she served the sentence with Salem in many countries and prisons. 5 years after being arrested with Abu Salem in Lisbon, Portugal, Monica was released in India.
