Description

UNORTHODOX EDUCATION is a 60-minute documentary that exposes a shocking truth — that tens of thousands of Jewish schoolchildren graduate from ultra-Orthodox high schools without legally-mandated education in English, science, math and history. As a result, they find it difficult or impossible to become independent adults. The film follows a young man struggling to learn English and find his place in the world, a mom fighting the government to give her son an education and a reform advocate fighting to get existing laws enforced.
